Hello, High Valley friends. Douglas and Elizabeth have had a stressful 2013 so far. Elizabeth is on emergency call to return to the city where her sister has been having a complicated recovery from gallbladder surgery. We don't want to miss celebrating the holiday with you, so we are keeping it simple. Come and enjoy the glorious May gardens, walk the labyrinth, see your friends, sing, dance, and drum around the bonfire, weather permitting. If it rains we will picnic indoors and drum and dance in the hay barn.

In Case of Weather:
Confirm schedule and times @ 845-266-0004. If answering machine does not pick up, then High Valley may have no cable, but will have generator-power, even if the electricity is off (See below).

No More Power Outages

We now have a standby generator and the barn is connected (but not the outside parking lot lights). We've had power outages in summer and winter; the generator worked.

However, the last time we had a major storm, our cable was also out, which meant our phones were out as well--even though we did have power from the generator. That could happen again.

If, after a storm, our phones go to voice-mail, we should still have power.
